"I have been a regular customer at Fairhaven Shopping Village for many, many years. It was once a really happy, busy and vibrant place, with craft sessions, story book readings for children, monthly car boot sales, summer and autumn fairs, family history talks, antique appraisal days, off-site shops and even pantomimes on the front lawn. There was even an on-site art gallery, antique store and workshop-cum-store, where the supported employees crafted items to sell to the public. It has been so sad to watch the demise of the precinct over the last three or four years. It is nothing at all on what it was several years ago, and is now well-known as the worst op shop on the Central Coast. I was there today and the place was deserted. The only person I saw was the lady manning the main cash register. There was a pitiful range of stock, and what they did have was overpriced. There are no longer any events, supported employees crafting homewares, or off-site shops. Many areas are unmanned and the on-site factory, gallery and antique store are no more. Donations are rarely accepted and when I visited at 10 am on a Tuesday last week, the entire site was closed. It is obvious the place is being mismanaged. It's very sad, especially for those with a long association the charity, like myself. "

"During the coronavirus pandemic, Fairhaven Shopping Village traded until March 25. I emailed the charity to raise my concerns. The reply I received was patronising and full of excuses. Furthermore, proceeds from Fair Cravin' do not benefit the charity, I recently l discovered. The cafe is low sublet. "

"I do not recommend Fairhaven Shopping Village. Many of the cash registers are unmanned and if you require assistance, good luck finding anybody. The area near the schoolhouse smells like sewage and stock is clearly mislabeled (e.g. marked 'vintage', even if it is new). The entire site is rundown and poorly maintained, with broken toilets, uneven paths and overgrown gardens. Donations are often turned down, due to space restrictions. All of the charity's other stores have closed down."

"I visited Vintage Fair/Fairhaven Shopping Village last month and I was really disappointed. The parking is terrible and the volunteers seem so unhappy. All of the items I liked were marked 'not for sale' and there was an awful smell in the clothing section. I shared my experience on social media and was told the place is a well-known hotspot for workplace bullying. They have trouble retaining volunteers, apparently. I will not be back. "
