Reviews of Whitford Salvos

"Pricing is way over the top. Saw second hand Ikea product being sold at Salvos for MORE than the Ikea cost! It was bad enough when the price of every item was increased by one dollar immediately the "loyalty card" was introduced. Salvos, you are playing on the generosity of people who think you do a worthwhile job in providing for the needy. My visits have become less and less frequent because of your pricing structure and I would hazard a guess that this is so true of many others. The main reason I came to your website, however, was to let you know the changing rooms not only need sweeping, but also a good wash. My feet were filthy after having to stand barefoot whilst trying on three pairs of pants. "

"Lovely well set out store. Quality of products on offer is really good. Great customer service keeps us coming back :)"

"I agree with Lisa's review. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the prices are way too high. Two examples - a plastic cake-carrier, well worn, was $14.50. Women's scarves ranged from $7 for the lightweight summer ones, to $13.50 for winter. I can't see how making things so expensive is helping the needy. Whoever is doing the pricing there must not visit other shops. I have been in Kmart, Target and others, and their scarf prices ranged from $7 up to &12, and they were not on sale! At the end of last Winter I got a beautiful scarf at Target marked down to $5. So disappointed with this Salvos."

"The staff there are so friendly and helpful which is great. I luv the friendliness but OMG there pricing for what they are, are so high.. I thought these sorta places are to help out people with not much money, but no they are just thinking of profit profit profit..I will give u 3 stars just for the fact you gave great friendly staff.."
