"Vinnies Grovely has certainly gone down hill since the "upgrade" of their premises. Prices are excessive and it's very disconcerting when different staff members charge you at the "whatever I think I can screw you over for the most for sucker!" rate. Today for example, the sign stated clearly that "ALL CHILDREN'S BOOKS WERE 5 FOR A $1." I only wanted 2. I would have cheerfully paid a $1 for those 2 but the woman behind the counter started looking through the tray of books for a price, picking up a small one she informed me that that book would cost $0.50c, hardbacks $2 and paper $1. So why on earth was there a sign above her head that indicated otherwise? Disappointing to say the least and because of this laissez faire approach to pricing merchandise I take my donations elsewhere. I would rather my donations go to the Hills Op Shop where I know that it will be affordably priced for those in need or LifeLine Alderley where you feel welcomed into their fold the moment you step onto their premises. Avoid. There are much more charitable places than Vinnies Grovely."
"Love this place. Prices are reasonable and stock is amazing. Two adjacent stores (one for furniture and bric-a-brac, the other for clothing and accessories). This is my go-to for bargains. Right near train station and Maccas too."
