Reviews of Abbotsford Salvos

"Has a book section on a scale 2nd-to-none. Record section can be ramshackle and full of rubbish, but I once found a U.S. copy of Yoko Ono's APPROXIMATELY INFINITE UNIVERSE 2LP set here- amazing!!!!"

"I bougt a jacket here last week. I didn't try it on, as I knew it would fit me, and I was in a bit of a hurry. I carried it over my arm to the train station. When I was on the train I was appalled to find that the stench of vomit was not, in fact, coming from the train carriage floor, but from the jacket. On closer inspection, I found that it had not been cleaned before being placed on the racks - the lining was horribly stained with vomit and it reeked! I was totally disgusted. This is really outrageous and points to the negligence or indifference of the staff. I'm also sure that it breaks any number of regulations. Vile! "

"PROS: No doubt has one of the widest range of furniture, most in good condition too. Good organisation where 1 room is full of furniture all displayed well. Wide range of clothing and accessories, quite a few vintage items at times, good friendly staff, prices are ok considering the area CONS: Even if the item is antique, the price is horrendous, mostly applies to vases/ladies shoes, jackets, jumpers, jewelry and especially the furniture. One staff member, old lady with frizzy hair, awful attitude when asking for help VERDICT: Great variety but most items are awfully overpriced, wouldn't shop here regularly "

"No bargains here."

"Way to overpriced clothing.. its still an opshop!"

"I think this is a great op shop, however their furniture is very overpriced. $3K for a lounge suite!"

"Big store"
