"Doubt I'll be returning to this op shop any time soon. Picked up a book today which didn't have a price. As it was in with 2 others priced $3.00 I thought that it would also be $3.00 however when I asked the 'gentleman' he decided that because it was written by Peter Fitzsimons and had 'pictures' in it, it would be $4.00. When I pointed out it had been with 2 others priced at $3.00 he said he thought someone had taken it from a different spot and not from where I picked it up. It had no cover and was clearly not a new book, however he decided it was possibly collectable. I told him although Peter Fitzsimons is a terrific writer I am unaware of any of his books being collectable. He then suggested he'd leave it out the back and perhaps I could return on Tuesday when the book man is in. Kidding isn't he. I've been to this store previously and found their prices to be quite high overall, asked for a small discount on several items....no, we don't give discounts, even to pensioners. I don't get it.....the items are donated, why not sell them at reasonable prices and not just let customers walk out with no purchases because of a poor attitude. "
"Today, after buying almost$100 worth of goods, i asked for a discount but this older, and shorter cashier woman with eye glasses was very unfriendly and said " it's cheap enough!". I mean c'mon , is this how it is now in Vinnies? Where are the friendly cashiers i knew before her??... She should get PR Seminar i thought... Other than her the other ladies esp. of Asian and Indian descent are very friendly and helpful people...Vinnies should be a place of friendly and kind people...She's not one of them."
"They normally have tables when you walk in of specials eg 50cent purses, fairly good prices on normally stock but i only ever find a few items."
